I graduated from my doctoral fellowship at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at University of Southern California on May 12, 2017. My dissertation committee members included Patricia Riley (chair), Andrea B. Hollingshead, and Daren C. Brabham. I earned my second master's degree in Communication at USC and had previously earned my first master's degree in Communication at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My adviser at UIUC was M. Scott Poole and my committee members were John Lammers and Christian Sandvig. I attended Wake Forest University for my undergraduate B.A. degree in Communication with a minor in International Studies.
In 2015, I attended at the Oxford Internet Institute Summer Doctoral Programme to discuss Internet research with faculty and peers. I was also a 2012 Berktern at the Youth & Media Lab of the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University.
