I currently serve on the board of advisors for San Francisco State University's big data program.

​I was on faculty as a one-year Postdoctoral Scholar in Organizational and Risk Communication with
 the University of Kentucky Department of Communication during the 2017-2018 academic year.
I graduated from my doctoral fellowship at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at University of Southern California o​n May 12, 2017. My dissertation committee members included Patricia Riley (chair), Andrea B. Hollingshead, and Daren C. Brabham. I earned my second master's degree in Communication at USC and had previously earned my first master's degree in Communication at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My adviser at UIUC was M. Scott Poole and my committee members were John Lammers and Christian Sandvig. I attended Wake Forest University for my undergraduate B.A. degree in Communication with a minor in International Studies. 

In 2015, I attended at the 
Oxford Internet Institute Summer Doctoral Programme to discuss Internet research with faculty and peers. I was also a 2012 Berktern at the Youth & Media Lab of the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University.
